Beachfront log cabins with sea views in Dunvegan
Beachfront Setting & Wildlife Viewing
Harlosh Log Cabins provide direct beachfront access to the shores of Loch Dunvegan. Guests can watch seals sunbathing on a nearby island from the cabin using the provided binoculars. A private picnic table at the water's edge offers a front-row seat to seabirds and otters.
Cabin Amenities & Equipment
Each chalet has a fully equipped kitchen with a hob, kettle, toaster, and a microwave that functions as a convection oven. A washing machine with a dryer is available for guest use, and outdoor BBQ facilities are provided. The host supplies tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and orange juice upon arrival.
Host Services & Local Produce
Host John, a local fisherman, offers fresh lobster and crab to guests upon request. The host provides a warm welcome with a cabin tour and daily check-ins for storm updates. Key access and fire extinguishers are standard for guest safety.
Location & Accessibility
Dunvegan Castle is 11 km from the cabin, reachable by car in about 20 minutes. Portree, the main town of Skye, is 25 miles (40 minutes) away. The access road has deep potholes - the host warns guests in advance via message to take care.
